Years ago, we had problems with moles at our "camp" by the river. The front yard was one big mole tunnel. Someone told us to put a stick of spearmint gum in each tunnel. Moles eat it but cant digest it so they die. It worked.

There is a fairly new product called Mole Max. It is completely organic and most customers who have used it recommend it. Try it.

I was going to recommend my Rottie pup for your moles. She digs like a maniac for them, then chomps them. I agree with the first answerer, a cat would be a great solution. They sell mole traps, but that's kind of pointless because they can just dig around them. Cat will do a good job for you if it's a female. I've yet to see a tomcat bother to go out hunting. And get the female spayed unless you want 3 litters of kittens a year.

Get yourself a good outdoor hunting cat.
Mine wiped out an entire colony of gophers PLUS all the moles in my 1.25 acres in one summer.

Ants, unless they are in the house, are harmless. They actually help by aerating the soil.
