I must admit that I (also retired) find your question surprising. I have never been as busy and involved as I am right now. Begin by joining local neighborhood associations, if there isn’t one start one. Become an adult volunteer for 4-H or the Girl Scouts or some other youth organization. Write a book. Join a speech makers association. Become a big sister to children of need. Start a new business.
There is no end to the possibilities.
Sabrina Mcclelland Said:
You are qualified for so many things, I think you should come out of retirement and get a part time job or volunteer at any of the organizations that you qualify for, they are always in need of help.
You can craft, paint, garden and so forth.
Alissa Docherty Said:
What about donating your spare time to a charity or just take up some new hobbies.
Coming on Yahoo Answers is time consuming and quite good fun too

Your skills look like they will be well suited to working with refugees, maybe a part-time post or volunteering would suit you. In these difficult times where immigrants receive so much prejudice, i am sure an experienced and knowledgeable voice will be very much appreciated.

Have you considered doing voluntary work in the area where you live, this will get you out of the house and you will make freinds. Go down to your local library and ssk them if they have a list organisations which require help and then go for it, you have nothing to loose.
Good luck.

Oh my goodness, have u no interests to persue. Life is full of adventures, take advantage of ur free time. Volunteer for whatever appeals to u, anything from animal shelters to visiting nursing homes. Travel, even if u must go alone, its fun to be on ur own schedule, I`ve driven to beach resorts, rode Amtrak to more distant places, went on bus trips with other seniors, all alone and had a grand time. Do whatever u find interesting while u r able. One never knows what tomorrow may bring. Enjoy now.
