Are there any volunteer agencies who can help with elderly people?
My elderly mother needs some help 2 days a week, mostly for companionship. Are there any agencies that offer volunteers for elderly people a couple of hours a day?

contact adult and family services. or if you have a counsel on aging they should be able to help you. contact your nursing homes and residential houses in the area, they might be able to help you.

Enter your city or county in top line and then in the phrase section “Area agency for aging” This will hopefully take you to a site for trhe local senior services agency. You can also check the phone book for the senior center in your area and ask to speak with the director or a social worker for advice. They can tell you about this kind of services and also about similiar services paid by Medicare and other programs.
